School beauty crowned for charity
Bridget Molatlhegi from Lyttelton Manor High School was crowned the winner of Miss Centurion School 2014.
A stylish evening full of glitz and glamour was everything that any girl could dream of when winning the crown of the annual Miss Centurion School beauty pageant.
The crowning of Miss Centurion School, held in May at the Centurion Lake Hotel, was a show not to be missed. Girls from schools in Centurion took on the catwalks in the latest fashion and the most beautiful dresses. For one evening they could feel like the most beautiful model in the world.
At the end of the evening, however, the judges were torn as to who should be the next Miss Centurion School winner. The choices were tough and the decision even harder to make.
With the judges’ final decisions, Bridget Molatlhegi from Lyttelton Manor High School, was crowned the winner, Lesego Matsimela as first princess and Naledi Stokwe as second princess. Now it is up to these three girls to make a charitable difference in their community.
This beauty pageant is a charity project that was started by international designer Dennis Lloyd, former Ms United Nations finalist Mada Janse van Rensburg and Glam Light Modelling School-owner Yolandi Rossouw.
Every year the project aims to make a matric girl’s dream come true – to have the perfect matric farewell. As it may be, the lucky winner will receive a fairy tale designer’s dress, have her hair and nails done and have a professional photographer capturing these special moments.
As the pageant celebrates its 10th birthday next year, it promises to be an event that will grow in stature.
