Police arrested a man on Wednesday afternoon for the dealing of illegal substances during a stop and search combined operation done by the Sunnyside Cluster Crime Preventions, Garsfontein sector manager and liquor officers, in the Plastic View informal settlement in the east of Pretoria.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Dave Miller, the police confiscated almost a kilogram of dagga at the suspect’s house.
The police also recovered alcohol and liquor from an illegal shebeen. “No arrests were made at the shebeen,” Miller said.
Miller confirmed that the suspect would appear in the Hatfield Magistrate’s Court within the next 48 hours.
