The much-anticipated Gauteng Good Food and Wine Show is just around the corner and food enthusiasts who want to get their hands on tickets will have to act fast.

This year’s festival will see celebrity chefs such as Matt Preston, Lisa and Helen Tse, Buddy Valastro, Reza Mahammad and Food Network’s Siba Mtongana of Siba’s Table in action, to name but a few. Other highlights to look out for include The Celebrity Chefs Theatre presented by Woolworths and Robertsons Herbs and Spices where local and international celebrity chefs will strut their stuff and demonstrate their signature recipes, using local ingredients.

Also keep an eye out for the around the world-restaurants, Indian and Thai cuisine, among others, as well as regional wine tasting tours and Food Champions featuring local food artisans, craft beer featuring local microbreweries and food and beer pairings.

Other, not-to-be-missed features are ‘Romancing the Stove’ classes, which include talks and demos on ingredients in our food that help to lift our moods, as well as celebrity chef book signing sessions. The Gauteng Good Food and Wine Show takes place at the Coca-Cola Dome from 31 July to 3 August. Tickets are on sale at www.computicket.com or at your nearest Shoprite Checkers.
