Man still missing
Police are still searching for 75-year-old man who went missing in Danville since April and urge the community to help find him.
This week police were still searching for 75-year-old Nicolaas Andries van Zyl from Danville, who disappeared in April this year.
Van Zyl lived at Reddingsdaad in Danville and no one has seen him since he went missing.
Police spokesperson Constable Lerato Ngomane said calls were received from residents in Hercules, saying they spotted the old man at Absa in Hercules, but it turned out he had been mistaken for someone else.
Van Zyl was reported missing at the Pretoria West police and was last seen on 16 April.
“Investigation officer Warrant Officer Kilian visited mortuaries, hospitals and did not find the old man.”
Van Zyl used to sit outside SPAR at the shopping centre in Danville — and that was the last place he was seen.
On the day Van Zyl went missing, he was wearing a blue shirt with black pants, Crocs shoes and blue top. He is in his right state of mind and knows his name and address.
Anyone with information about him should call Pretoria West station on 012-327-4907 extension 228.
