Power failure in Valhalla

Theft of overhead conductors are the reason for the power failure in Valhalla. Tshwane metro believes power will be back up by midnight tonight.

Valhalla residents have been plummeted into the dark after another cable theft.

Lindela Mashigo, spokesperson for the Tshwane metro, said that the power outage was caused by theft of two overhead conductors in two separate locations.

He said that power might be restored by midnight tonight.

“It is unfortunate that the residents must endure the disruption of services as a result of criminal actions. We apologises for the inconvenience caused to the affected residents,” he said.

He warned residents to treat all electrical points as live. Switch off all non-essential appliances to assist with the load on the electrical network.
