
Criminals met their match over the weekend when the police from the Pretoria Central cluster arrested 37 criminals for various crimes.
Captain Agnus Human, police spokesperson, said among the arrests, 17 were for possession of drugs, six for hijacking, ten for possession of suspected stolen property, three for drunk driving and for fraud.
“Police, with the assistance of the Tshwane metro police and the Community Patrollers, conducted road blocks and stop-and-search operations in different areas to prevent crime,” she said.
Huma said the focus was on stolen and hijacked vehicles, searching for drugs,possession of unlicensed firearms, house and business robberies, wanted criminals, stolen goods and possession of housebreaking equipment.
