Two armed suspects are at large after they fled with three firearms during a robbery in Eldoraigne.
Police are still searching for two armed men who fled with three firearms after a family was tied up and robbed in Eldoraigne, Wierdaburg police spokesperson Captain Agnes Huma said on Tuesday.
“On 12 August at about 20:00, the victim alleged that he was in the bathroom and his wife was standing at the door. The wife started screaming as she saw an unknown man with a silver 9mm pistol. Another man entered with the victims’ daughter and son and ordered all of them to lay down on the floor,” said Huma
The couple was tied up with cable ties and shoe laces in the bedroom while the robbers demanded money from the wife.
“The victim pleaded with them to not hurt his wife. They took three firearms, his wallet, jewellery, and other valuable items. Nobody was hurt and no shots were fired,” Huma said.
Anyone with information regarding the armed men is urged to contact Constable Samuel Khauli on 0824616610.
