Man stabbed to death
A man believed to be in his twenties was found dead in Mamelodi.
An unidentified man was found dead in Phomolong, Mamelodi on Sunday afternoon after he was discovered by a member of the public, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe told Rekord.
“He was found next to a shack with a stab wound in the upper body. He could be in his late twenties,” said Mbewe.
Mbewe could not confirm if the man was killed at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have heard or witnessed the incident to contact us on 0822298060 or 012 815 7116,” Mbewe said.
Following rumours of an alleged serial killer in Mamelodi after six women were found dead in September, police still cannot confirm the allegations.
“We cannot confirm if there is a serial killer. No arrests have been made. We are still investigating,” said provincial police spokesperson Captain Doniah Mothutsane.
