Tshwane metro said on Wednesday afternoon the power outage in Silverton and Silvertondale might be restored by midnight tonight (1 October).
Lindela Mashigo, spokesperson for the metro said the power outage was caused by three faulty cables. “A team of technicians are currently on site repairing the cables. If all goes well, the technicians anticipate that electricity should be restored by midnight tonight.”
Affected residents are urged to report power failures by text messages. SMS the word POWER ,followed by your account number to 082-612-0333 or 44676.
