Gauteng police are still on the lookout for four men believed to have hijacked a man in the Vaal Rand before dropping him off in Pretoria.
The four pose as law enforcement members and drive around in a white VW Polo fitted with blue lights on the roof.
In August last year they stopped a man driving a Proton Arena pick-up bakkie. They demanded to see his driver’s licence and proceeded to handcuff and force him into their car. The men then took the abducted man to Pretoria, where they forced him out of their car and abandoned him. The hijacked car was later also found abandoned. The hijackers stole R3 600 and two cell phones from the abducted man.
The four men are considered dangerous and are armed. The hijacked man was able to provide an identity kit of the four hijackers. Anyone able to identify these men is urged to contact Constable Jacob Tyantini at 073 446 7379, or Crime Stop at 086 001 10111 at all hours.
