Actor recovering well after motorcycle accident

Theunis Nel is doing well after surgery.

Actor Theunis Nel is doing well after losing his right arm because of an accident two weeks ago.

His wife Mareli said the presenter of WOEMA on KykNet was recovering well after his surgery last week, and his doctors were hoping to take him off the ventilator on Monday.

“It is two weeks since Theunis’ accident, and we are thankful for his recovery. Thank you so much to everyone who has walked this road with us during this difficult time.”

Since the accident, Nel had his right arm amputated and underwent surgery to repair damage to his legs and pelvis. He was put on a ventilator after the surgery.

His manager, Anria van Heerden said a donation of R25 000 was made into the Daisies for Bikers fund started to help other bikers who had been seriously injured in motorcycle accidents like the one of Theunis.

“Thank you to all the people in our Daisies’ lives,” Van Heerden said.
