A Garsfontein police officer has shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, her current boyfriend and then himself. According to police spokesperson Captain Doniah Mothutsane the ex-girlfriend, Fenkie Tlenyane (31) and her current boyfriend Onkgopotse Motshwanedi were shot and killed by Tlenyane’s ex-boyfriend Ali Nkuna in Temba near Hammanskraal on Tuesday.
“The family alleges that the couple was standing at the gate when they suddenly saw Tlenyane running into the house screaming for help. She was being chased by her ex-boyfriend Constable Ali Nkuna,” said Mothutsane.
Mothutsane said Nkuna shot Tlenyane three times in the upper body and he also shot their one-year-old son in the cheek.
“Nkuna later shot himself in the right ear and died on the scene.” Mothutsane said Tlenyane’s family later also found Motshwanedi dead at the gate.
The child was admitted to George Mukhari hospital in a critical condition. Cases of murder, attempted murder and suicide are being investigated.
