Three men have been arrested in Soshanguve for allegedly being involved in a spate of house burglaries in the area, police said on Tuesday.
The men were arrested on Monday following a tip-off. According to Soshanguve police spokesperson Constable Hlekani Mathebula, the arrested men were linked to home burglaries, reported in one of the business premises in the area where electrical appliances were stolen.
“Police recovered goods suspected to have been taken during housebreaking. Goods included four plasma TV sets, a DVD player, home theatre with speakers, amplifiers and a laptop.”
She said the goods were found in a house at Block K after residents tipped off the police. “Those who have reported housebreakings with similar items that have been stolen should call to identify the goods.”
She said the men might be linked to other housebreakings in the area. The men will appear in the Soshanguve magistrate’s court once they have been charged formally.
