Pretoria West police are looking for two armed men who shot and wounded a 32-year-old man in West Ford, Pretoria West, yesterday morning at around 10:30.
According to police, the man was driving to his home when he was approached by two armed men who forced him out of his car at gunpoint and shot him once in the upper body. Constable Moloto said an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the man before they fled the scene with his Nissan 1400 bakkie, which was found abandoned by police minutes later.
The wounded man was taken to Kalafong hospital for medical treatment. “We were called by residents that a man was shot and we arranged an ambulance when we arrived at the scene,” added Moloto. A case of hijacking, robbery and attempted murder has been opened. No arrests have been made yet.
