Police are on the hunt for two armed men who shot and wounded a man in a home robbery on a smallholding in Knoppieslaagte, Centurion, on Monday, police said.
Police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said a 73-year-old man was shot in the upper body when the two robbers entered his bedroom where he was sleeping alone around 03:15.
“The men fled with a laptop, two cell phones, two cameras and clothing with an estimated value of R39 000,” Moloto said. “The elderly man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.”
Moloto said police are investigating cases of home robbery and attempted murder.
