Tshwane metro police seem to have declared war against drug offenders and are putting these criminals behind bars.
On Tuesday more drugs were recovered by the Tshwane metro police special projects team in Centurion, short on the heals of a major drug bust in the area earlier this week.
Officers responded to a complaint via Facebook and after observation they confiscated dagga with a street value of R430 and nyaope to the value of R210 in Blackbeard Street, The Reeds.
The alleged culprit was not at the house, but agreed to turn himself in at the Wierdabrug police station the following day where the team would have been ready to make an arrest.
On Monday, the unit acted on an anonymous tip-off and raided a house close to Lyttelton police station.
Three Nigerians, all of whom were legally living in SA after they had been granted asylum, were arrested and illegal drugs to the value of R220 000 and R5 460 in cash were seized.
The drugs that were confiscated included Cat, ecstasy, LSD, DMA, crystal meth, dagga, nyaope and heroin.
The unit urged the public to send them any drug related information via their Tshwane metro police special projects team’s inbox on Facebook or to send an SMS to 072 325 2547.
