Henning to be tried in October
Nico Henning, who has been charged with the murder of his wife, Chanelle Henning, will go on trial in October.
Murder accused Nico Henning will be tried in October in the High Court in Pretoria after the State served his indictment on Thursday, reports said.
Henning has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after the November 2011 shooting of his wife, Chanelle Henning, outside their daughter’s creche in Faerie Glen.
It is alleged he hired hit-men Andre Gouws and former Nigerian athlete Ambrose Monye to kill his 26-year-old wife.
Gouws and Monye have both been sentenced to life in prison for the murder.
Two other men, Gerhardus “Doepie” du Plessis and Willem “Pike” Pieterse, are serving 18-year prison terms after confessing to their roles in the killing.
