Pregnant woman trapped in car accident
A pregnant woman was trapped in a car on Sunday when two cars collided in Centurion.
A pregnant woman was trapped in the back of a car on Sunday evening when two vehicles collided on John Vorster Drive, Emer-G-Med spokesperson Braam Kruger said.
He said a Toyota Hilux and a BMW collided around 20:00.
“We had to cut her out of the backseat of the BMW. We treated her for moderate injuries before transporting her to hospital for medical care,” Kruger said.
He said the woman and the baby are fine.
Kruger said the remaining two passengers in the BMW and the three occupants in the Hilux also suffered moderate injuries.
“They were treated and transported to hospital.”
Meanwhile, Kruger said three cars crashed into walls in Centurion and on the N14 freeway.
He said a man lost control of his car on Sunday evening on the N14, near Eeufees Road.
“He crashed into the Gautrain barrier wall. He suffered chest injuries which we treated on scene before transporting him to hospital,” Kruger said.
On Saturday night, two vehicles crashed into walls in Rooihuiskraal.
Kruger said around 22:00, a BMW went through a residential brick wall on Reddersburg Road.
The driver did not suffer any injuries, he said.
“On Rooihuiskraal Road, a driver lost control around 19:00 when he drove over a traffic circle. He hit a barrier and went airborne before hitting a precast wall,” he said.
He said the driver walked out unharmed. “He was not injured,” Kruger said.
