Lebese makes court appearance
Kaizer Chiefs winger George Lebese appeared in court on Monday for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in Silverton in February.

Kaizer Chiefs winger George Lebese appeared on an assault charge in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said.
The matter was postponed to 1 April 2015 for further investigation, said NPA spokesperson Velekhaya Mgobhozi.
Lebese allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in February. He was released on R1 000 bail on 10 February. He also faces a charge of malicious damage to property.
Lebese took part in Saturday’s Soweto soccer derby before being replaced by Siphelele Mthembu in the 69th minute, it is not known whether he will travel with the team to Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday.
Lebese was arrested on 10 February.
