Family man missing

Police are searching for Jonathan Evans (32), a father of three, after he was last seen on Thursday night.

A young man has disappeared after he dropped off a friend in Mamelodi last week, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hero Gumbu said.

Jonathan Evans (32) went home in Lyttelton on Thursday afternoon to get ready for a function, said his wife Maelonique.

“He came home around 17:00 and changed into a white shirt, black pants and a tie. He was going to a function with his colleague,” she said.

She said her husband dropped off his colleague in Nellmaphius, Mamelodi, that night, but never came home.

“The only friends we have is each other. I don’t know where he could be. I tried to phone him and his phone is off.”

She said Evans, a father of three, drove a black BMW.

Gumbu appeals to the public for any information.
