Mamelodi East police are investigating a murder case after a 40-year-old woman was found murdered in her boyfriend’s backyard room on Monday afternoon.
It is alleged the deceased and the suspect had an argument which led to the suspect stabbing the deceased to death with a knife. The incident took place in Mamelodi East, Section 17, next to Nwa Vangani Primary School.
Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe said: “The police are busy with the investigations. Upon arrival at the scene the police found the body of a woman in a pool of blood and a cord hanging from the roof.”
The police also observed an open wound in the upper body of the deceased and a hammer lying next to the body.
“The boyfriend is still at large and police are searching for him. A case of murder was opened and no one has been arrested yet,” said Mbewe.
