Man stabbed to death in Pretoria West

A man was stabbed to death during an alleged fight in Pretoria West on Thursday afternoon, police said on Friday.

Spokesperson Captain Reed Steynberg said a man in his 30s was found dead near the Fresh Produce Market in Pretoria West on Staatsartillerie Road. “It is believed two men were fighting and one was stabbed. Paramedics declared the man died at the scene from wounds he sustained. The suspect managed to get away from the scene before police arrived,” she said.

Steynberg said a murder case was opened at the Pretoria Central police station and the matter is under investigation.
