Three arrested after police chase
An unknown number of cigarettes were recovered when three men were arrested in Silverton after a robbery in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
Three men were arrested in Silverton on Monday in connection with business robbery in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
The robbers fled the scene in a cigarette delivery vehicle, with police and a helicopter giving chase.
Police were on Monday afternoon still busy on the scene.
The men, who drove a grey Hyundai H1, were apprehended in Silverton when they tried to sell stolen cigarettes to a shop owner on Pretoria Road.
Police could not yet confirm the value of the cigarettes.
No injuries were reported and police investigations continued.
