Three armed men robbed Cash Crusaders at Celtis Ridge shopping centre in Wierdabrug Wednesday morning.
Police spokesperson Captain Augustinah Selepe said an armed man entered the store around 09:30 and held staff in the front of the shop at gunpoint. Three other men arrived and ordered staff to the back, telling them to sit on the ground.
“A man with a plastic bag ordered a staff member to accompany him to where the cellphones, laptops and other valuable items were kept,” she said.
She said the man took a number of cellphones, laptops, watches, CCTV recorder and an undisclosed amount of money from the till.”
The robbers made their getaway in a white Ford Bantum without a canopy.
No one was injured and no arrests had been made.
The police investigation continued.
