The Game store is Centurion Mall was robbed in the early hours of Friday morning.
According to Theo Petzer of Monitor Net, the store was robbed at 06:00. Four armed men arrived at the mall in a white, new model Ford Focus ST, registration CZ 87 NF GP. “They went to the Game store, and broke a large front door window, and entered through the hole,” said Petzer.
“There were people working overtime in the store. The four armed men held them hostage while they stole jewellery and cigarettes, estimated to be worth R80 000. Luckily no one was hurt.”
Lyttelton police are investigating the robbery, and anyone with any information on the robbers or the car is advised to phone them on 012-644-8600.
Centurion Mall management are yet to comment on the matter.
