Two armed hijackers met their match when a motorist shot and killed them on Friday night.
The armed men attempted to hijack two women travelling from Johannesburg to Randfontein. When they stopped at an intersection, four armed men approached their vehicle and demanded they hand over their vehicle and valuables.
A motorist saw the armed hijacking and immediately took action. He shot and killed two of the men. The other two robbers fled the scene.
The two women fled the scene during the shoot-out.
