Child missing for two days

Family and friends have been looking for missing child since Friday.

A 12-year-old child went missing on Friday afternoon in the Eersterust area.

Stepheney Bestendier, a Nantes primary school pupil, was last seen by family at 15:00 when she went to visit her friends.

According to Bestendier’s cousin and family spokesperson, Michaela Jacobs, she was last seen by friends at 19:00 on Friday.

“Since then a couple of residents have seen her driving around with a man in a white Sentra,” Jacobs said.

She said the family was very concerned for the safety of the young girls and pleaded with the community to contact them as soon as they saw her.

Jacobs said that this was not the first time that Bestendier had left home but it was the first time that she had been away for two nights.

She said the family had not yet filed a missing’s person report but they had informed the police.

She said the entire family had been looking for Bestendier since she had gone missing.

Anyone with more information on Bestendier’s whereabouts should phone Jacobs on 061-814-4720 or Veronica Jansen on 076-616-1343.
