‘Pastor Touch’ wanted for allegedly abusing his wife
A man from Winterveldt is wanted for physically abusing his wife.
Loate police have recently launched a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly abused his wife, leading to her having to flee their home to get away. The man has allegedly been abusing his wife physically for years.
Police are appealing to residents for information that could lead to the arrest of the wanted man, Timothy Phehelo Radebe (34), popularly known as ‘Pastor Touch’.
The man lived with his wife at Mahlangu Stand in Winterveldt. Police spokesperson, Constable Petunia Chabangu, said he was wanted in connection with charges of assault causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and intimidation (domestic violence). “He hit his wife with his fist as well as a wooden spoon, and kicked her in the face. She was seriously injured,” said Chabangu.
The abused woman has since fled her home and has been staying at a place of safety with her two children, the one aged five and the other just seven months. The woman told police her husband had also threatened to kill her.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Radebe can contact Warrant Officer Baloyi at Loate police station on 072-237-8968.
