A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of the Port Elizabeth teacher, Jayde Panayiotou. He appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s court briefly this morning, and his case has been postponed to 19 June 2015. He will appear alongside the victim’s husband, Christopher Panayiotou.
According to reports, the third suspect has been directly linked to her abduction and murder and is said to have been the shooter. Rumours are ciculating that Christopher Panayiotou paid the unidentified suspect R30 000 to commit the murder.
Panayiotou’s case has been postponed until 19 June 2015 and will remain in police custody until then.
