Toll plaza alert for motorists
Bakwena has beefed up security at toll plazas due to criminal activity.

Motorists using the Zambezi toll plaza have been warned on social media to be aware of traps set by criminals in the area.
The rumour on Facebook and WhatsApp is that objects are being put in the road to damage vehicle tyres. When motorists get out to inspect the damage, they are attacked and robbed.
Charmaine van Wyk, spokesperson for Bakwena, confirmed there had been two episodes on different days around 05:00 at the toll plaza.
She said Bakwena had stationed security guards at all its plazas for the protection of toll collectors as well as the public.
“We suggest that motorists stay alert.”
Van Wyk advised motorist to obtain e-tags to eliminate the need to stop at Bakwena.
