Drug dealer caught red handed
A 20-year-old man was caught red handed dealing drugs by the Eersterust police.

An anonymous tip-off led to the arrest of a drug dealer in Eersterust on Thursday evening.
Eersterust police spokesperson Constable Sam Shibambo said police received information about a drug dealer operating in Tafelberg Street.
“The concerned resident gave a clear description of the 20-year-old man dealing drugs on the street. On arrival, police found the man in the company of other young men. He was searched and police found five packets of CAT in his possession,” Shibambo said.
The man was arrested and would remain in police custody until his first court appearance.
Shibambo thanked the community for the positive information they provided in drug-related cases.
He said there have been many arrests in the same street due to the cooperation of residents and police.
