Abducted baby still missing

An 8-week-old baby was abducted in Olievenhoutbosch last week.

An eight-week-old baby boy abducted from Olievenhoutbosch last week is still missing.

Provincial spokesperson Captain Doniah Mothutsane said the baby was apparently taken by a woman who came to the mother last Thursday, pretending to be the father’s relative.

“The day the baby went missing, he was wearing a white cap, powder blue and white top, white pants and was wrapped in a blue towel,” she said.

She said the woman, believed to be aged between 27 and 30, was about 1.6m tall and was wearing a dark blue denim skirt and blue denim jacket.

Police are appealing to the community for any information on the baby’s whereabouts.

“Please contact Detective Constable Rebecca Masekwameng of FCS unit Pretoria Central on 073-044-5623 or 012-353-4312.”
