A man was stabbed to death in Onderstepoort on Sunday, Pretoria North police said.
Spokesperson Captain Rebecca Phatlane said two men were involved in a knife fight on a smallholding in Onderstepoort just before 01:00 on Sunday.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a man’s lifeless body on the property.
“The one man was found dead and the other man was seriously injured. He was taken to the Steve Biko academic hospital for treatment. He is currently under police guard and face charges of murder,” Phatlane said.
She said the Pretoria North police arrested 28 other criminals since Friday in a crime prevention operation.
They weer taken into custody for offences such as the possession of dagga and other drugs, traffic violations, assault, theft, possession of suspected stolen motor vehicles, shoplifting and domestic violence.
“The Pretoria North police are determined to rid the streets of any criminal activities and are set to keep the community safe from harm.”
She said all those arrested would appear in court soon.
