Police seize dagga dealers

Thirteen suspects arrested for possession of dagga.

A total of 13 suspects have been arrested for dagga possession and dealing in Mamelodi East. This followed a random search by police on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Mamelodi East police spokesperson Warrant Officer Michael Mbewe the suspect were aged between 18 and 56. “The suspects were arrested during a random stop and search operation. This operation is not a once-off thing, we are going to conduct more operations like this in the future.”

The suspects will soon appear in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s court on charges of possessing drugs and dealing dagga.
