Comrades champs now city ambassadors

Two women who finished first and second at the Comrades Marathon this past weekend were announced the city's new ambassadors.

Comrades stars Caroline Wöstmann and Charné Bosman was hosted by acting Tshwane mayor Eulenda Mabusela on Wednesday.

Anointing them ambassadors for the city, she congratulated Wöstmann for winning the women’s race and Bosman for taking second place in the 90th Comrades marathon the past weekend.

“We are proud of your achievement as it symbolises our own mantra of igniting excellence,” Mabusela said.

She said the two put Pretoria on the international map through their diligence and hard work.

“That is an achievement to be celebrated. We hope to work with you in the near future as we strive to build an inclusive, resilient and liveable city.”
