The Port Elizabeth Magistrate court denied Christopher Panayiotou’s bail application this morning.
Panayiotou will have to wait in jail until his case starts. He faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder‚ kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances and defeating the ends of justice.
The judge said that she would give her reasons for denying him bail on the 12th of June when Panayiotou is set to appear in court again.
An immense amount of relief was seen in court when the ruling was read out.
