Police searching for 3 armed robbers
Three suspects robbed Hatfield mall of money on Tuesday afternoon.

Police are searching for three suspects who robbed Hatfield Mall on Tuesday afternoon.
Cluster police spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach said the three armed men robbed a security guard at gunpoint of money his security company had collected at various stores in the mall.
“The Brooklyn police have launched a manhunt for the three armed men. The robbery took place at 17h25,” she said.
Weilbach said the men, carrying firearms, confronted one security guard as he was about to load the money into the cash-in-transit vehicle.
“The suspects took the two bags with an undisclosed amount of money the guard had as well as his service pistol. The three suspects then fled on foot.”
She said one bag full of cash and the security guard’s firearm were recovered in Grosvenor Street where one robber had dropped it.
“No shots were fired and nobody was injured during the incident. The Brooklyn police are investigating an armed robbery,” said Weilbach.
She said anyone who can assist the police with information can contact the Brooklyn police station on 012-366-1735/6 or the Crime Stop number at 08600-10111.
