VIDEO: TUT students involved in fight

TUT students, allegedly from opposing political parties the ANC and EFF, involved in a scuffle.

Tshwane University of Technology students who allegedly support opposing political parties, became physical on Tuesday.

The students are believed to be from the African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).

The scuffle between students happened before President Jacob Zuma’s Siyahlola event that was held at the TUT Soshanguve campus.

According to university’s spokesperson Willa de Ruyter, the small scuffle was broken up by the Soshanguve Community policing Forum(CPF).

“The scuffle was very short. The CPF managed to stop it before the event started and thereafter, students were well behaved during the event,” she said.

She also said the university was still investigating what may have caused the disagreement between the students.
