CPF warns against objects as markers by criminals

The Lyttelton CPF warns residents to keep their gardens and sidewalks clean.

The Lyttelton Sector 7 community policing forum (CPF) has issued a reminder to residents of the area to keep their gardens and sidewalks clear of rubbish and debris.

According to the CPF, criminals are still using objects as markers to identify potential targets.

A bottle was found outside two properties that were targeted; one an attempted break-in and the other a successful break-in.

The CPF is urging residents to notify their security company or the police should they find anything suspicious outside their property.
