No water for days upsets residents

Residents of Wapadrand are fed up with the lack of water supply in the area.

Residents of Wapadrand are at their wits’ end after having their water supply cut off on Thursday evening.

Rekord spoke to resident Janke Harris on Saturday, who said they were still waiting for the water supply to be restored.

“We have tried to contact the metro multiple times, without success. We also emailed our DA ward councillor, but have received no feedback yet,” she said.

However, according to DA ward councillor of the area, Elsabé Louw, she had received no complaints about the problem.

Harris said she was frustrated with the continuous problem.

“We have had to buy water in cans and boil it for necessary use and comforts,” she said.

“It is just so frustrating, especially the inconvenience of basic day-to-day consumption, and we have received no information about what the cause of the problem could be.”

The Tshwane metro was not immediately available for comment.
