Shooting after attempted robbery
An attempted robbery in Waverley ended in a shooting.
An attempted house robbery ended in a shooting in Villieria on Sunday morning.
According to Theo Breedt from Moot Crime Prevention, shots were fired at a Silver Mercedes heading in Waverley’s direction in 27th Avenue.
“Shots were fired at the Mercedes as it drove away in the direction of Hertzog Avenue after an attempted house robbery,” Breedt said.
The Villieria police were on the scene, said Breedt.
The police were not immediately available for comment.
