INTERNATIONAL NEWS: Doctors mock sedated patient on phone recording
A man recorded an entire colonoscopy procedure in order to hear what his doctor had to say after he woke up. What he heard instead, was completely shocking.
A Vienna man prepared for his colonoscopy at a Virginia hospital in the USA by pressing record on his smartphone. He wanted to capture the instructions his doctor would give him after the procedure.
What he didn’t expect to hear on the recording, was the entire procedure that included a conversation between the gastroenterologist that performed the colonoscopy, the anesthesiologist and a medical assistant.
The content of the recording was entered in a lawsuit filed by the patient for defamation and medical malpractice.
