Home burglaries in South Africa are currently increasing due to unemployment in a weak performing economy.
Theuns Kotze, general manager ADT inland says you can do whatever you want to secure your house and family, but thieves somehow always find a way into your home.
Kotze advises the important thing for families to remember is to stay calm in order to survive a home invasion.
Because home burglars can strike at any time of the day and take any form, Kotze offered the following tips on how to prepare for home invasions:
Kotze cautions that no two incidents are the same and these tips are based on very basic situations.
“No one would ever want to be present during a home invasion. To increase safety at your home even before a home invasion takes place, consider a home alarm system, CCTV cameras, electric fencing and security guards,” Kotze advises.
