Man killed in shooting
A man was shot dead in the early hours of Sunday. Motive still unknown.
A man was shot dead in Nellmapius in the early hours of Sunday.
Netcare911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said this happened around 03:30 in Mpoha Street near Lesedi Road.
She said when the paramedics and other services arrived on the scene, the man, believed to be in his 20s, had already died from his wounds.
“The man was declared dead on the scene.”
She said exact details on what happened were not immediately clear.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Mike Mbewe could not yet confirm the shooting.
