Three hijackings in same suburb
A BMW and a Toyota Corolla were stolen in Soshanguve after two separate Hijackings.

Police are investigating three cases of armed hijackings in Soshanguve.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena said two hijacking cases were reported on Tuesday where a BMW and a Toyota Conquest were stolen.
“The first hijacking happened in Block R at about 16:45. A man was parking his car at his house when he saw two armed men approaching him. The two suspects pointed firearms at him and demanded his car keys. The man gave the hijackers his car keys and they fled the scene with the man’s car. In his car were two cellphones, bank cards, a hairpiece, laptop and R500 in cash,” he said.
Mangena said the BMW was recovered in the informal settlements just outside Soshanguve on Tuesday evening but all the items that had been in the car were missing. No arrests have been made.
In another hijacking on Tuesday, a maroon Toyota Conquest was stolen in Block NN, Soshanguve. Mangena said two women were just arriving home from work when a group of armed men approached them and demanded them to get out of the vehicle. “The two women got out of the vehicle and handed over their car keys. The hijackers then took off with the vehicle and fled the scene.”
Mangena said inside the car was one of the victims’cellphone and bank cards. The registration number of the hijacked vehicle is BY12TRGP.
