The mystery of an unknown burned body leaves police with unanswered questions.

The burned body was found on Tuesday behind a food outlet in Wierdabrug.

Police cluster spokesperson, Captain Augustinah Selepe said the body was discovered on the corner of Cottie and Louisa avenues.’

“The body was found in an open field. It is presumed the incident took place on Monday night but the time frame has not been established,” she said.

“The body was lying on its right hand side with burn wounds all over the body. It is not yet known as to whether the person was killed and set alight by other vagrants, or himself,” Selepe said.
