Robber shot and wounded Centurion man
Man critically wounded in Saturday night shooting.
Police are looking for six armed men who shot and wounded a man during a business robbery on Saturday night and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Lourens Botha, vice chairman of the Lyttelton CPF and chairman of Lyttelton CPF sector 2, said preliminary reports indicate the Centurion business owner was shot and wounded. He was taken to a nearby hospital.
A second person was injured when one of the robbers hit him over the head. The robbery occurred on the corner of Station Road and Botha Avenue.
Botha said police were looking for a red hatchback vehicle, possibly a Corsa, seen leaving the crime scene. The vehicle was last spotted travelling towards Tembisa on Botha Avenue.
Botha said one of the witnesses claimed the robbers to be foreign nationals. One of the robbers was wearing a green jacket and jeans and a white hat. The others were wearing brown jackets.
