INTERNATIONAL NEWS: Maddie McCann case taken to Australia

British police investigating the Maddie McCann case have been lead to Australia where the remains of a young girl have been found in a suitcase.

British police are investigating the discovery of the body of a young girl found in a suitcase in Australia, being thought to have a connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in 2007.

According to The Globe and Mail, Australian officials say there is no evidence that the badly decomposed body of a young girl is related to the Maddie McCann case.

Australian police say the remains show that the girl had been dead since 2007 or earlier and authorities haven’t identified her yet.

Madeleine McCann went missing when she was three years old while she was on vacation in Portugal with her family and the case has never been solved.
