One dead, eleven injured in accident
Eleven people were injured in a serious vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in the Centurion area. The driver of one of the vehicles were declared dead on the scene.
One man died and 11 others were injured when a taxi and car collided Saturday afternoon.
Passengers received injuries varying from serious to moderate.
According to Adrie Verster from Codrie Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the two vehicles collided on the Old Johannesburg Road near Eeufees Road just after 15:00.
Verster said the driver of the passenger vehicle had died on the scene as a result of his injuries.
“Two other passengers in the taxi were severely injured while the other patients only sustained minor injuries.”
Codrie EMS transported some of the injured to hospitals nearby. She said other medical services also attended the scene and transported injured passengers.
