Rapist convicted
Soshanguve serial rapist will hear his sentence next month after he was found guilty on 22 charges.

A notorious Soshanguve criminal has at long last been convicted, police said.
Sipho Mbokazi (37) was found guilty on 22 criminal charges in the Pretoria High Court on Tuesday. The crimes committed between 2012 and 2014 included housebreaking, robbery and rape.
He had denied guilt on all 35 charges brought against him.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Lolo Mangena said the conviction came as a relief to the community.
“Mbokazi was found guilty of 22 out of the 35 charges against him. Evidence was provided in court through DNA that he raped four women and many others testified against him throughout the trial,” he said.
Mangena said Mbokazi would be sentenced on 1 October.
Mbokazi broke into houses in the middle of the night, accosting his victims with a firearm and tying them up before robbing them of items ranging from cellphones to television sets and cash.
He is believed to have raped 15 women during his reign of terror before he was caught and arrested last year.
